We seek a smart, passionate person to lead business development. This person will also manage third-party services supporting digital marketing and PR as well as directly doing some of both. As such, this role will involve broad exposure to diverse growth-related tools and tactics.

You will report to and work directly with the CEO on a daily basis.

Experience driving sales is valued but not required if you’re able to learn quickly.

PERSONAL TRAITS AND CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Smart and able to learn quickly

  • Extroverted and charismatic, or able to unabashedly present as such

  • Understands our product, target markets, and customer acquisition funnel

  • Is articulate and presents professionally in-person

  • An excellent and exacting writer adept at tailoring messaging to audience

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, highly motivated, independent, and curious

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and engage major leads, and convert to sales

  • Manage 3rd-party business development and marketing services/platforms

  • Provide ongoing high-level support to large customers

  • Manage our presence at expos (requires travel)

  • In-person and by-phone business development

  • Work with business partners on co-marketing

  • Drive PR (e.g. engaging media) and growth hacking

  • Work with graphic artist to create marketing materials

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint or similar

  • Able to come to our San Francisco office at least three days a week

VALUED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with business development

  • Experience with marketing and PR

  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or similar

  • Experience at a B2B tech company

  • Basic front-end web development
